Interlaken Park Path Stairway

Part of the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation Greenways Initiative program, in partnership with SDOT, the Interlaken Park Path Stairway replaced the existing trail and provided a new and improved connection between Interlaken Park Blvd & Boyer Ave E at East Howe Street. Located on an ECA steep slope site, a permanent shoring wall was built and incorporated into the design of a new poured concrete stairway that features elements requested by the community, including a bike runnel, guard rails, and a switchback that connects to the designated crosswalk to create a safer, more accessible route.
