Ashworth Exploration Academy

This project consists of the adaptive reuse of an existing two-story church building and the construction of a new adjacent addition intended for new use as a day care facility and associated administrative offices. An ASCE 41-13 Seismic Evaluation Report conforming to the requirements of the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspection Director’s Rule 7-2009 was provided. Seismic upgrades consisted of existing wood shear wall strengthening, new roof & floor to wall and foundation connections, and new girder/truss connection ties.
